Robo-Advisor like Syfe provides you with such options so you do not have to actively manage your own portfolio. This would free up time for you to do things that you like and matter most to you.

Who is Syfe

Syfe is a digital wealth manager that aims to help retail investors manage their investment portfolios so as to reach their financial goals much easier.

Syfe's investment portfolios

Currently, Syfe offers 3 different portfolios that cater to different users. All portfolios have no minimum deposit and also zero withdrawal fee.

1) GLOBAL ARI

The Syfe's Global Automated Risk-Management Investment Portfolio is a globally diversified portfolio of equity, bonds, and gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Some notable ETFs in your portfolio include SPDR S&P 500 ETF, iShares MSCI EAFE ETF, iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF, and SPDR Gold Shares.

Your portfolio allocation varies from individuals and would be determined by risk options you choose out of the 11 available. With the use of Syfe's data-driven engine, your portfolio would be continuously monitored and rebalanced according to your risk

The return ranges from 4% to 10% depending on the risk options you choose

*Do note that the portfolio is denominated in USD, as such there are forex risk involved

2)REIT+

Syfe's REIT+ closely replicates the performance of the SGX iEdge S-REIT Leaders Index which tracks the performance of the most liquid real estate investment trust in Singapore. Some REITs in the portfolio include Ascendas, Mapletree Commercial Trust, CapitaLand Mall Trust, and Keppel DC REIT. With this, it aims to provide attractive dividend yields to investors who want to invest in Singapore's REITs

While it does not offer customization in terms of risk options, Syfe's REIT+ offers two options for investors, namely 100% REIT and REITS with Risk Management. As the name suggests, the 100% REIT options purely track the iEdge S-REIT Leaders Index. On the other hand, REITs with Risk Management has an additional allocation in Singapore Government Bonds. Base on the volatility of the market, it would then vary the Bonds and REITs compositions according to their ARI methodology so as to reduce the drawdowns.

*You can only choose to receive your dividends as quarterly payouts if you have more than $20,000 invested with Syfe. Otherwise, it would be automatically reinvested for you.

3)EQUITY100

Syfe's Equity100 is for those who want maximum exposure to global equity. As such your portfolio would all be in global equity ETF. Some of the ETFs in this portfolio are Invesco QQQ Trust, iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF, and Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund.

The portfolio uses an advance multi-factor model to deliver better risk-adjusted returns

The average annual return is 15.5%

*Do note that the portfolio is denominated in USD, as such there are forex risk involved

Is Syfe Reliable?

Firstly, Syfe is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Additional your money is in safe hands as mentioned on their website.
How secure are my funds if I invest through Syfe?

Your monies and assets are held in a custodian account through Saxo Capital Markets, a MAS-regulated global broker. Your assets are held with Saxo, whose sub-custodians are Citibank for securities and HSBC for any uninvested cash. This means that your money and assets remain safe even if Syfe or Saxo stops operating because they are held separately from Syfe or Saxo’s assets.

My reviews

Syfe is currently the only RoboAdvisor that offers REITs investment products. This was what drew me to it as I was looking for something where I can passively grow my wealth with.

I have been using Syfe's 100% REITs since May 2020 and so far my experiences with them are highly positive. Their user interface is very friendly for both their web and app. The reason why I choose 100% REIT instead of the REITs with Risk Management option was that I already have some bonds in my portfolio that compliments my overall investment strategy. As such I am willing to stomach more volatility and go with 100% REITs.

So far, I am sitting on a gain of 10.77% for my portfolio.
